MARKETING OUTRAGEOUSLY TO FORTUNE 500 COMPANIES Jon, Congratulations on a great book! I just finished it last night. As a college intern at WCBW radio in 1995, I saw Roy Williams give a marketing seminar in St. Louis. When he was finished speaking, he gave away a copy of "The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing." As I was blown away by Roy's common sense approach to advertising, I picked up a copy of The 22 the next day. Like a bolt of lightning out of the blue, I realized that marketing was my passion. Since that day, I have read everything that Roy, Al Ries and Jack Trout have ever written. When Roy recommended your book on his Monday Morning Memo, I didn't hesitate to get a copy from Amazon.com. You certainly have it right. My personal favorite part of your book was Reach & Frequency -vs.- Domination. I couldn't agree more! It's the difference between firing off a bottle rocket or launching the Space Shuttle. I am in sales in Chicago and I only call on mammoth companies, primarily Fortune 500. Even so, I am going to apply the Marketing Outrageously principles of being different and dominating with my prospects. I'm sure I'll be successful. Thanks for a great book, and I'll be checking out the Eskimoes next! Best regards,
OUTRAGEOUS MARKETING WITH THE MIDAS TOUCH Jon: My name is Mark Smith and I own the Midas Auto Service Shops in Richmond, VA. I just finished your great book "Marketing Outrageously". I have purchased copies for each of our Managers, which will be given out at a meeting next week. Mark Smith
A MARKETING OUTRAGEOUSLY BANKER Dear Jon: I have recently read two of your books, Outrageous Marketing and Success Is One Wish Away. They are incredible. I have done some outrageous marketing in my day. I am glad there is such a thing. I am writing because I have recently (within the last year) left a 15 year career. I was a mortgage banker. Not JUST a mortgage banker, but a sales oriented mortgage banker. Did I market outrageously? Let me tell you about one of my first "out of the box" marketing ideas for a wealthy private bank I last worked at. (Details maybe in my next book.) Beth Beal |
